When I first got accepted to the art college of my dreams, I immediately started to freak out. A majority of my work was exclusively pencil, marker, or pen (or a combination of the three) and I felt like I was missing out on the other media types out there that I knew would be required at school….

You gave your dad $1 and your mum $1 and kept the other $1 for yourself. Now you owe your mum $49 and your dad $49. 49+49 = 98 + your $1 = 99. Where is the missing $1?
You don’t add your dollar to your total, you minus it from 98 to get the shirt cost.
Fuck. Thought this through and I still don’t get it..
Imagine what it would’ve been like if Sokka hadn’t managed to catch her hand when it slipped. If he was the only one of the two who had been saved here. I would’ve cried. He would hate himself; she’d never gotten married, grow old, and had children. The secret of metalbending would’ve been lost, and Lin Bei Fong never would’ve existed, let alone been the head of the police force. And if Lin Bei didn’t exist, she probably isn’t going to have some future badass scene where she saves Korra from the jaws of death and Korra would probably be killed.

It gets worse.
Put yourself in Toph’s place at this moment. The only thing she is touching — the only thing she is holding onto — is Sokka’s hand. That’s all. She can feel the wind and hear the yelling, but she can’t see any of it. Her world is the world she feels through her surroundings, but right now she can only feel Sokka. So her world is Sokka’s hand, and it’s slipping away.
